Call the Master

Sound the General Alarm

DO NOT ENTER THE ENCLOSED SPACE UNTIL PREPARATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR AN EMERGENCY ENTRY - THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF LIFE

Arrange for emergency rescue equipment to be taken to the entry site (rescue tripod, stretcher, SCBA sets and spare cylinders, gas monitoring equipment)

Test communication between entry point and Bridge

Determine entry team, brief them (estimated location of casualty, search pattern, entry time available)

Carry out all required SCBA Set safety checks

Inform Bridge when rescue team enters the space

Medical team to standby

IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY RESCUE FROM AN ENCLOSED SPACE, ENTRY MUST ONLY BE MADE USING SELF-CONTAINED BA SETS.

Inform the Company

Find radio medical advice contacts

Identify if it is possible to ventilate the space by any available means

Keep account of all people who enter and leave the space

Keep records of all actions taken.

Keep the Company closely informed.
